Bob Kargenian’s letter was published in Barron’s, a weekly newspaper that covers financial information, relevant statistics, and market developments.

In his letter, Bob says, “Bitcoin is simply a speculative commodity whose users hope to sell it to someone else, presumably at a higher price than one paid. I don’t need it to achieve my retirement income goals, and neither do our clients. It doesn’t pass my eye test, which is simply skin in the game. Am I willing to put my own money on the line, alongside our clients?

“The more Wall Street attempts to legitimize Bitcoin as an asset class, the more skeptical I become. Treat it for what it is—gambling. Investing and Bitcoin really don’t belong in the same sentence.”
